The Dream! It never ends …

0

Everything seems dull and blurred. All of a sudden, I see a room half visible. I never bothered about the other half. It was early in the morning and the bird chirping was at its peak. I wonder if the room had walls. The half rose sun lightened the room in just the right proportion. The couple in the room are still sleeping. A few minutes and the male gets up pulling his hand which was right beneath his partner’s head carefully not to let her notice that he woke up. He sits beside her and kisses her on her forehead thinking, “I’m so lucky that I’ve a wife who is so caring and beautiful”. Not to waste his opportunity to prepare a bed coffee for his lovely wife, he stands, and starts walking towards the kitchen minding his way not to make even the slightest sound.

2 silent minutes pass on and he enters the room with a kettle full of bed-coffee, 2 glass mugs, a cup of sugar in the most royal way for his princess. By placing it on the table, he walks towards the bed wondering how his princess can look so beautiful even when she’s asleep. Eventually, she gets up and wonders where her partner has vanished. Her face was a wonder! It was as fresh as a freshly gloomed flower. She was surprised when she sees her husband with a cup of coffee smiling at her. “Why did you get me a koffi? It’s my duty to serve you and not vice versa”, she said twisting her lips in the most beautiful way he has ever seen. “ For this! I did it for this! Geeta, You’re the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen”

The girl looks him in the eyes thinking, “How can you love me so madly, Teja?” She wanted to hug him right away and the immediate second, she hugs him and shouts, “I love you so much for you’re the most lovable person I’ve ever found”. Once again, the vision goes blur and no matter how hard I try, the only thing I can see is the fan on my ceiling and yeah! It was a dream! Well, a truth can never become a dream no matter how fallacious it seems but a dream, it always has a chance and there rests my hope. So peacefully, that no one’s ever gonna take it away from me. After all! The hope is in my sub-conscious which I myself can’t control.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow’s a mystery. But today is a gift. That’s why they call it the present. Exactly! I got a present. I met her! Those 25 minutes were the best 25 minutes of my life.

I was waiting at the theater for my princess like a Myna waiting for his Parrot. She entered the hall like a star. She was stunningly beautiful. She brought in a wave of attraction. Her beauty attracted everyone’s attention. As soon as she saw me, my heart beat rose and my eyes were constantly poking my brain unable to digest the fact that they were really looking at HER. So beautiful she was! Our hands met wishing each other Hi, Hello. We spoke. She spoke in a voice sweeter than that of cuckoo’s. We departed after that and as soon as she reached home, she called me. We spoke, spoke like we are supposed to, like we are being paid for making each other happy.

The minutes hand of my watch marked the end of the great day. Five minutes passed and I got a call from her. Her voice showed that she had some bad news. She said that she cannot be my girlfriend no matter how hard I try and no matter how how harsh it sounds. I recalled the words of some great author, “Nothing is forever”. Yeah! Nothing is forever, not even the happy moments I spent with her. Except for the dream. I slept and once again the same dream. It’s The Dream that never ends

Darkness

0

Darkness. That was the only thing I knew before I met you. Hiding behind the skies is darkness; eyelids showed me darkness when I closed my eyes. Dreams used to be blank. After I met you my sweetheart, I don’t understand where the darkness absconded but there came many colors into my life. Even on a new moon day, I find your face shining brighter than the nearest star. Even a closed room shows me a way to reach you. Doesn’t a clear road show my way to you? I know my way to you. I mean I know the way to my happiness. But if that happiness seems as small as a speck of dust to you, then it means a millionth part of the same speck to me. It’s not my ego nor it’s my conceit which stops me from approaching you but it’s your happiness sweetheart, it’s nothing other than your happiness that stops me. I know I was the one who sowed the seeds of love in you. I remember that am the one who forced you to love me. But why don’t you know and understand that am also the one who loved you more than everyone else in this world. Why don’t you come forward to see if I still wait for you? Why don’t you even bother to glance at me? Come to me my sweetheart, come to me once again, and come to me for an hour, a minute or at least a second to show me that you smile and bring back the smile on my face.

Life should be as it used to be when you were with me. Without you, believe me, I don’t make sense any more. “How non-sensual!” is what people say looking at me. Come back please, come back and make me sensual. Come back to make me complete. Come back to wipe my tears. Come back to share my sorrow. Come back to tease me. Come back to make me alive. Did you forget all the places we have been to? Yeah! Am speaking of the same places which now ask me where my better half is. You remember the pizzas at 2 and parate at 3 in the night? They don’t want to get past my tonsils without your sweet mouth tasting it. The trees, the grass, the parrots, the food, the water, everything, everything asks me about you. Come to me once again to let me answer to everyone and more than everything else let me answer my heart. I’ve been thinking of you and I do. My doors wait for your arrival. I miss your magical touch, the sweetness of your kiss, the innocence in your eyes, and the smile on your stunningly beautiful face. I’m completely lost. No please! I can’t bear it. Don’t tell me that I’m a dark horse and hurt. Be away from me, it’s much better that way. The darkness, it’s on me again after a long time. I like the darkness more than you for it never hurt me like you. I cry, I bawl out and people stare at me. Still, you don’t care, you don’t come. It again makes me cry. What else can I expect? What else do I want in life? It’s after all an atrocious one without the company of my so-called sweetheart.

Dedicated to my first love, with love.

Trust

0

Now, at this very point of time, I stand in a (a romantic place)  with a bouquet full of red roses, a box of Toblerones, a few ‘dil’ balloons which she loves the most and a heart full of love. Oh sorry! I should have said I’m waiting for my girl. Well, I’ve been waiting for her for a year now. Well, let me be clear on this. Actually, I’ve been waiting for the spark of a trust which disappeared like a stone thrown into a tornado and which may rise at any point of time like lava from a volcano all of a sudden without a clue. Well, just 5 minutes ago, she called me and put an end to my year long wait.

This dates back to when I was in my 12th standard.  It was raining cats and dogs in Delhi. I was sleeping in my room all alone in peace dreaming of her. All of a sudden, my ‘dream’ world seemed to suffer an earthquake of 8. 9 Richter. I woke up to discover that the danger to my ‘dream’ world was my phone. It was she, crying on the other end of the line. As said by her. She went to meet her boyfriend in that kind of rain only ‘coz he asked her to do so. As usual, she hugged him as soon as she saw him. There was a change in his behaviour. He didn’t hug her back. He threw the mobile gifted by her and pushed her away. She didn’t give up, she demanded a reason and he had nothing but a reason that he found another girlfriend. She wept, wept through the rain and the rain calmed her down wiping her tears. She cried around me holding my hand. I consoled her.  I was happy that the girl I love had a break up. But, she was sad. That made me sad too.

A Few Days Later. . .

I and my friend were sitting in a restaurant having her favourite dish. She spoke well, so well that I couldn’t ever interrupt her. This is the moment, thought I. As soon as I thought, I proposed her. She was like, you know?  Maybe shocked or impressed or whatever. I didn’t know. I wasn’t sure. But, she paused, looked into my eyes and said, “I trust you yaar,I trust you more than myself for you helped me soothe my heart and helped me get past all sad memories. But, this LOVE. No, please. I’ve lost trust. Not once more please. You’re my best friend”. Now, this best friend thing, it is a trend now-a-days. I’m sure that some of you came through this best friend thing.

“Trust depends on a person, not on love or anything else”, said I. That was the longest discussion of my life. I extended the discussion not to make her love me but to make her believe people and to have trust in them. Finally, it ended this way. I promised her that I’d wait till she gets trust in me and I’ve been waiting ever since. Over the past few weeks, she got very close to me. I waited till she The () took a seat beside her wishing me a ‘Hi!’called me saying, “Dude! I understood what your entire wait is for. Wait for me at the (place) . I’ll come with the thing you’ve been waiting for so long”.

People, I see her walking towards me from a distance. She’s closer. She’s closer. There she is with a pink shirt on perfectly fitting jeans. This is what people call beauty I suppose. I see beauty in her hair, eyes, glossy lips and totally her face. Well, I gotta receive her at the entrance. Bye.

He’s from IITD . . . He’s effulgent

The day of admission into IITD, many facchas entered the gate happily except for some serious maggus. There is this fresher who stands at the gate, who is handsome with a bag dangled onto his shoulder with a smile on his face and tears of joy in his eyes. “Finally! I’m in my dream world”, he thought to himself. As he entered the gates of India’s best engineering college observing the surroundings, the glory of 50 years of IIT Delhiwas visible in the shine in his eyes. As he walked through the main gate to the hostel area, he started looking at everything as if every detail of the world is new to him. He dreamt of being here, at the world he always dreamt of and when it came true, he started spreading the happiness through the medium of smile. As he entered his room in Kumaon House, his new home, everything! Everything seemed new, new cot, new bed, new friends and new everything except for an old wish to achieve his goal, an ultimate and unique goal to accomplish his small wishes. As days passed on, he’s got new friends; he started accomplishing his small wants which he never was able to accomplish at his old home. He started skipping classes and bunking labs. The AIR 200 guy now became a 5 pointer. But still, the thing to be noted and the change to be observed is the change in the way of his life. His life has been transformed from an ordinary park to a colourful forest where new surprises await everyday the guy of a millennium. He says, “The actual happiness in life lies in living it the way you like”.

Interaction with the best brains of India brought out the genius in him. He learnt the new methods and the way of living. With time, like his brain, his expectations grew and he started exploiting the ways to learn new things. He became a white tiger among all othertigers. He set the mark in every field he entered except for acads to which all are supposed to give primary importance. He learnt a lot; still he remained a 5 pointer. He won gold medal for his record breaking speed in running. He bagged the first prize for the toughest event of Asia’s biggest ‘tech fest’. He says, “I’d rather prefer being happy and satisfied over winning”. The profs treated him as a fool and called him a loser for he is after all a 5 pointer. As said by Napoleon hill, “Action is the real measure of intelligence”, his actions always showcased his intelligence. From the hostel culture, he learnt social living. The new home gave him not only shelter but also a bunch of knowledge and wisdom to use. His involvement in the organisation of well heard fests taught him how to interact with people whom he had never even met. Years after he left IITD, he became the most successful entrepreneur. He’s a person to be admired despite his 5 C.G.P.A. This is what IIT is all about. It gives us everything we need for a balanced and joyous life. Some things in life are very important for our success in future. Be it a stupid speech, non-sense course, torturing viva or compulsory NSO hours, it is valuable at some time or the other.

A Date

0

Some things in life are destined to happen. They do happen do whatever you want to avoid them. One such story of my life is ‘I was on a date and that asshole brought her boyfriend’. I’m a boy and I always like to be ME. I’m always ME. To be ME, I need to tell the truth that I’m always interested in dating girls. With such an interest, I asked my school girl, whom I met after 3 years on a date. She smiled and I think I need not explain what that meant. ()

A week later, I was on my brand new dress, brand new shoes, and brand new spectacles in my brand old car waiting for her. Then she arrived dressed up like an angel. I swear that I’ve never seen a thing beautiful than her. ‘pehli nazar mein kaise jaadu kardiya. . . ‘, thought I. I never believed in god, but believe me, she was godly. As she walked through the garden path, people fought to take a glance at the stunningly beautiful face of my date. I moved at canter to open the door for my beautiful queen. She entered the car with a smile which could light up this whole town.  “You look gr8 Teja”, she said. “You are no less”, I replied. While on the move, she used her phone a lot. She texted, she talked to someone. I didn’t care. After all she’s dating me. The arrival of Select City Walk, Delhi brought an end to my wonderful drive. I was happy, so happy that I saw birds and clouds around me while walking on the ground. Hanging around in a mall is fun. Hanging around in a mall with a girl is great. Doing the same holding each other’s hands is awesome. It was awesome. Well, let me tell you how it became the most awful incident of my life. We both were having subs. Her phone rang and she got excited all of a sudden as if someone she hates met with an accident. Continuing to talk on the phone, she stood, started hovering around the table like a cat whose leg got burnt. A few minutes into the call and then she sat again filling my nostrils with her pleasant fragrance. It was great talking to her. My ears requested me to make her speak.

There came a change. She started looking around after every sentence she spoke. A minute later, she stopped talking and started giggling showcasing her beautifully ordered teeth. She stood all of a sudden at the appearance of a weird structure thinner than a skeleton and the worst stinker I ever met. I wondered if beggars were allowed into malls in Delhi. I asked her to sit and started searching for my wallet for change and in mean time, the beggar took a seat beside her wishing me a ‘Hi!’. I wished I could kick the bastard but she spoke to him. She started giggling at this calcium-less bony skeleton? I thought to myself. The begging freak was introduced to me as her best friend. From the way she said ‘best friend’, I concluded that he is her bf. He ate her (jhuta) sub in fraction of seconds. I mean faster than the hungriest beggar. She held his arm like a baby who is afraid of beggars.  Her hand seemed like an essence of milk in drainage around his fragile arm. Now, this is the problem with beautiful girls in Delhi. They love guys, who are dark and ugly, the perfect contrast of them. The guy was such a non-sense that he started rubbing her back and shoulders in such a busy mall.

I rushed to the Mc. D’s, bought a few ice creams and Pepsi, threw the ice creams into the Pepsi and emptied it on that fool. I ran!

Tit for Tat!  :D

Birthday Girl!!

0

In the fully air conditioned halls of FIITJEE, Hyderabad, there are many couples chit-chatting. Oh God! I can’t believe my eyes! There’s not even a single ‘single girl’. Wait! There’s one. God! She’s awesome! She got up and started walking towards a guy and they started talking like everyone else. God! I’m so bored of routine. No! There’s something different in their conversation. The girl’s flirting with him. Oh! What a rare scene! The girl went blank standing in front of her crush and the boy is expecting her to talk. The guy misunderstood the girl’s silence as a sign of disinterest and turned around to leave. He wouldn’t have if he have had a look into her eyes, beautiful pair of eyes expressing her love. The girl accompanied him to the vestibule connecting the lecture halls. He started walking away and the girl waited for him to turn back and look at her once before leaving. She counted three. No use! She counted ten. No use! She counted fifteen. He turned the corner. What a stupid! She thought. She ran to catch him but it was too late. She called someone and 5 minutes later, she disappeared into a sedan. “That was a nice getz but I missed him again Teja. I go blank in front of him. Give me some advice. Please!” she said to the guy beside her. “I wonder how a boy can stop himself from talking to you! You’re irresistible!” he said smiling bending forward to have a clear look at the road in front of him. She hit him on his arm shouting, “Don’t flirt with me!”.She twisted her glossy lips and in a low sound said, “Stewpid!” She burst into laughter and fell again into dreams with her dream boy ‘Namit’.

She dreamt, dreamt as the sedan moved through the busy roads of Hyderabad. He dropped her at the famous “Hyderabad Central University”. As she walked through her campus waving hands at all her friends, she realized the bitter taste of reality. She wished she could live in her dreams. As she reached her room, she felt a rush of adrenaline through her spine. She started feeling lonely. She texted her best friend, Teja. A few microseconds of silence and there came a tone in front of her door. She came running towards the tone and shouted, “What the hell are you doing here?” leaning towards the door frame. He replied, “I knew that you’re missing me and I came”. “True!” she said twisting her eye-brows in a skeptical manner. Then she asked leaning towards the other end of the door moving her hand through her silky hair, “10th is my birthday dude! Shall we go shopping?” The guy was the happiest listening to those words. They went shopping. The guy started looking for a gift to make her feel special on the auspicious occasion of her birthday. Greeting cards, key-chains, dolls, everything seemed routine and non-special. He called everyone and started asking what would make his friend feel so special on her birthday. The answer always came to be the same, dolls, teddies, key-chains and greeting cards. To him, all the answers were routine. He bought a mug with her picture printed on it. But, the art would only remind her of the artist and not Teja. He thrashed it. Finally, he brought out the author in him to write an article as a gift to her on her birthday. On the birthday of the one who brought out smiles at the time of extreme sorrow and who made him feel so special at times.

A few hours into the article and the guy started realizing how beautiful the girl is and how his life turned wonderful after her arrival into it. It brought out tears, probably tears of joy into his eyes. Despite the fact that the girl loves someone else, he started liking and loving her for every small thing she has done. He missed her all the time. He neither felt that he’s doing a mistake nor loving is a mistake according to him. He started wanting her in everything he did. As expected, the girl started ignoring him out of the fear of hurting him.

Knowing the mistake, the guy started feeling guilty. He thought to atone for everything he has done. A thought rushed through his mind. He presented the birthday girl, Miss Shaili, the best gift ever.

Happy Birthday Shaili!
